Cruise Fun!

The time for us to enjoy Brady's birthday present had finally arrived. Brady, myself, Jennifer, and Jarrod packed up and headed down Wednesday afternoon. We (Brady) drove all night so that we would not be rushed on boarding day. As we drove up, this was what we could see...Like kids on Christmas morning we were so EXCITED!!!

We were checked in and on the boat in less than 30 minutes (or that how fast it seemed). This is a view of the pool deck. That's a hot tub under that hut and that is the only time it wasn't full of children! (A complaint I did let Carnival know about on my survey)

Yes...that's rain...it began raining as we were leaving the port...but there were other things inside that we wanted to explore.

And here are the famous Carnival Towel animals...

We arrived in the Bahamas mid-morning and thankfully it was SUNNY!

After leaving the boat, we boarded a ferry that took us to Blue Lagoon Island. These are a few pictures of the view from our ferry ride. That is the Atlantas Resort in the in the background behind the light house.

After a 45 minute ride we arrived at Blue Lagoon.

The "boys" rented snorkeling gear and set out to find some rare fish...and they learned that when they say "don't touch the corral reef" means just that!! Nothing bad...just a really bad paper cut.

This was on the back side of the island. It opened up into the ocean. It was beautiful!

This is where Jennifer and I sat while the men looked for Nemo. We did not want to leave, but the fear of being left by the ferry boat made us return to the lagoon side...

...where we did this for an hour...laying in a hammock on a Caribbean island is the BEST!!!!

On the ferry boat back to the boat we were treated to FREE rum punch and a tour of some homes of famous people.

Our last night on the boat we thought it would be a good idea to take pictures instead of packing and going to bed early....lesson learned: don't pack as much so stuff!

All in all, it was a good trip. But we learned a lot about what we would do different next time:

1)go in the off season

2)choose a ship with more than one pool

3)pack less clothes
